Art about the making of art is ubiquitous. 

But how about art about how audiences engage with art, the other end of the creation-reception pipeline? Art that focuses on depicting and exploring how audiences respond to, think about, and discuss art?

Filling this to-be-further-filled void: Pan Pan’s The First Bad Man, a production at this year’s Under the Radar Festival that staged a book-club conversation about Miranda July’s titular novel.
