Are you having trouble finding decent tickets for Dune: Part Two’s IMAX 70mm print at New York’s AMC Lincoln Square?
And by decent, I mean a close-to-center seat, a reasonable distance away from the ginormous screen. Take a gander at upcoming showtimes, and you’ll notice that you’re shit out of luck, unless your ass is in a wheelchair.
Now, I would never advocate for stealing a wheelchair space from someone who physically requires one — Ryan J. Haddad’s Pulitzer-robbed play Dark Disabled Stories taught me the error of these ways — but let’s say you arrive at the theater a few minutes before the movie starts . . . and let’s say the vast majority of the wheelchair spaces in the last row are still available . . . what’re the odds that 10 wheelchairs roll up in the final seconds?
Well, at least at my screening, AMC is providing fold-up seats for these spaces, which can be found near the rear doors at the top of the auditorium.
The more you know…
