Was this timing mere coincidence?
Or was it a practical decision, silencing the room to establish a dramatic hush for the profound climax?
Or was it purely dramaturgical? The temperature literally rises as the main character creeps closer to facing the fire of her condition, thereby forcing the audience to feel a fraction of her existence?
It’s an immersive reminder of how a production can utilize every element at their disposal within a live space.
