Has anyone else noticed how many animated movies include *one* (1) sequence with a wildly different animation design than the rest?
Every other scene will boast the same animation style, until an (expository) flashback or a dream montage or a lore/mythos dump dramatically mixes up the visual palette, shifting it in a more expressive, abstract, illustrative direction.
Now, imagine if all movies contained one such scene with a radically altered aesthetic…
