It Ends with Them

It Ends with Us is back in the headlines, for reasons having almost nothing to do with what’s in the movie.

While the “life imitates art” nature of the offscreen ugliness between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively feels like a factor in the virality of their vitriol, the actual movie is starting to seem like an afterthought relative to what happened on set and the IRL fallout.

Which means: it’s entering an ignoble class of movies remembered more for their filming than for the finished film, with All the Money in the World being a — the most? — recent example.

But, rest assured: when the masses hear the title It Ends with Us, Colleen Hoover’s novel will remain the primary association.
