Never Too Much Slipstreaming

Remember when I hypothesized that Sony envisioned the 2024 documentary Luther: Never Too Much as a marketing slipstream in tandem with Sony’s new Luther Vandross greatest-hits compilation?

The latter’s title: Never Too Much.

Well, further proof has arrived to undergird this theory. Last Friday, the documentary returned to theaters…on the exact very same day that the album hit streaming.

I imagine Sony was hoping both releases would be fueled in conjunction with an Academy Awards nomination.

No dice.
