Down the Bear Hole

If you seek out dramaturgy unlike anything you expect, get thee to The Tank for The Goat Exchange’s Deadclass, Ohio.

Now, if this is where you’d customarily want me to describe the play and what it’s about, well…

A) A part of Deadclass, Ohio’s thrill is in experiencing how it unfolds in the moment, and strike me down if I deprived you of that ride.

B) The idea of boiling down what I think the play is about in a few paragraphs is laughably impossible.

It’s one of those plays where, if you ask 30 audience members to summarize their basic conception of the production, you could hear 300 different answers.

And some of the 30 will give you 0 answers.

If “WTF was that?!” sounds like an artistically exciting proposition, then welcome aboard.
