Is Broadway history happening in Manhattan this season?

And no, Lin, I’m not talking about “your” show. 

So back in May, Encores! produced a starry revival of Into the Woods (AKA: Sondheim for Dummies; I KEED I KEED (I don’t keed)) at off-Broadway’s City Center. The production transferred to Broadway the following month. 

Encores! followed up Into the Woods a few months later with their very next show: a starry revival of Parade…which begins previews on Broadway tomorrow. 

Is this the first time ever that the same theater sent two consecutive productions to the Great White Way?! 

Do you realize how unfathomable that is! And two musicals no less!
