Autobiographical art balances personal catharsis with audience legibility. 

Especially so in theater, specifically when the creators star in their own shows. It can sometimes feel like the act of performing what’s often their very-real trauma night after night is designed more in hopes of furthering their own processing than for us external onlookers. 

Which can be a rocky bridge…that I like to push myself into trying to traverse.
