June begins with the fourth full album to be added to the list:
Shawn Mendes’ entire album — oh so creatively titled…Shawn Mendes — may end up on this list upon repeat listens. For my first go-around, the copious amount of slower tracks stopped it from being included. There’s nothing wrong with them; in fact, they’re quite good! I just rarely feel a compulsion to shoot downtempo jams straight into my fucking veins. For now — and since I already shot “Lost in Japan” into my veins when it was first released as a single — I chose this example of the album’s next level producing, the best exemplification of it.
A fucking bomb.
