What’s up with Ireland at the Academy Awards this season?
It has to be a banner year for not only the country, but any not-America/England/Australia nation in Oscars history.
First: The Banshees of Inisherin represents in Best Picture and mucho elsewhere.
In the categories it’s ineligible for:
The Quiet Girl — Ireland’s official submission — nabbed an International nomination.
And “An Irish Goodbye” grabbed one of the Live-Action Shorts slots.
That’s a lot.
Ireland…Land of Ire…applies to all three!
