Key Glock’s Glock Bond is an album of missed opportunities, beginning with the very first track:
Rich Brian is a rapper from Indonesia whose sound is — at least for the most part — as distinct as the phrase “a rapper from Indonesia.”
Apple Music describes Madison Beer’s As She Pleases like so: “Sultry, smoky R&B from a superstar in the making.” Though these spiels usually reek of marketing hyperbole, in this case, I couldn’t have said it better myself! May I just add, starting with some self-promotion of my own:
I listened to 178 new albums in 2017.
It’s rather fitting that Above & Beyond’s Common Ground and Migos’ Culture II were released on the same day; both albums exemplify the consistent, borderline repetitive greatness of each group.
